Kitchen Remodel Timeline: What to Expect

|Greg Rojas

One of the most common questions we hear is "how long will this take?" The honest answer depends on scope, but here's a typical timeline for a custom cabinet kitchen remodel.

Week 1-2: Design Consultation

We visit your home, take measurements, and discuss your vision. This is where we talk about materials, finishes, hardware, and layout. You'll see 3D renderings before we cut a single board.

Week 3-4: Material Selection

Once the design is approved, we source your chosen woods, hardware, and countertop materials. Some specialty items may require additional lead time.

Week 5-8: Fabrication

This is where the magic happens. Every cabinet is built to your exact specifications in our workshop. We dry-fit everything before finishing to ensure perfect alignment.

Week 9: Finishing

Stains, paints, and protective top coats are applied in our controlled environment — not in your home. This ensures a flawless, dust-free finish.

Week 10-11: Installation

Our installation team handles everything: removal of old cabinets, wall prep, and precise installation of your new cabinetry. We protect your floors and clean up daily.

Week 12: Final Walkthrough

We do a detailed walkthrough with you, adjusting doors, checking alignments, and making sure every detail meets our standards — and yours.

The Bottom Line

A full custom kitchen cabinet project typically takes 10-12 weeks from design to completion. Rush timelines are possible for simpler projects, but we never sacrifice quality for speed.
